About

How I Got Here

Growing up as a small-town girl in the 90s, I experienced the independence of a latch-key kid. How we managed, I still wonder. Eventually, the allure of big city living beckoned, and I found myself in the schmedium town of Dayton, OH. Now, with a 16.5-year-old daughter, every day brings new joys and challenges.

My professional journey began in the restaurant industry, where I specialized in NROs, team building, training, and leadership development. Those years taught me invaluable lessons in perseverance and resilience, earning me a diploma from the "School of Hard Knocks." While the restaurant industry demanded blood, sweat, and tears, it also instilled in me the values of kindness, hard work, and creative problem-solving.

In 2014 I found myself hungry for more of life. I had rolled one relationship into the next and hadn't sorted through my emotional baggage. At that moment of my life I was about 50 pounds overweight with terrible habits, a drinking opportunity, and a circle of friends that I was so dependent on. I knew I needed to move my body more, eat more vegetables and boost my protein. Along the way I watched my mindset go from fixed and poor to growth and abundant. Here is where I started my journey. I was stuck in my childhood trauma, and didn't even know it. I was not self aware and thats when I sought help outside of myself!

The sudden loss of my father in 2016 prompted a deep reflection on the passage of time and the importance of fulfillment. Feeling unfulfilled in my career, I naturally gravitated towards health and wellness coaching, leveraging my skills in development and leadership. Even amidst 60-80 hour work weeks, I dedicated myself to learning, devouring every piece of knowledge on health and wellness. Since 2018, I've completed numerous courses, certifications, and continuing education programs, and pursuing a Masters in Sports Psychology currently. I pride myself on being a trauma informed coach in the health and wellness space. I am certified in CrossFit, NASM CPT, ACE Fitness Nutrition, WAG, and The Ready State Training The Injured Athlete.

In 2018, I ventured into virtual coaching, and it's been a transformative journey ever since. Now, as I expand my coaching practice under the banner of Life in Motion, I'm fueled by the belief that life is a constant journey of growth and adaptation. Life in Motion represents the dynamic essence of human existence, where progress and change are embraced with vigor and purpose. Through coaching, I aim to help individuals overcome obstacles, navigate challenges, and propel themselves towards their desired goals.

Today, in 2024, I find myself utterly devoted to the life I've created and the clients I serve. While I've worked with a diverse array of individuals, I've discovered that my niche lies with those who are eager to maximize their potential in every facet of life. Together, we embark on a holistic journey, addressing both mind and body to achieve lasting transformation.

As we step into the unknown of this new year, I'm filled with excitement for the opportunities it holds. I'm grateful to be on this path and thrilled to have you join me.

Excelsior,

Coach Bree
